International Juried Jewelry Design Competition at the Bead Museum in Washington, D.C.- September 20, 2008. Passion for Beads Gala was held at the Naval Heritage Memorial Center and I was awarded First Place in the Lampwork and Dichroic Glass category and the Juror's Choice Award!!! I am very, very honored to have received these awards! There were a total of eleven categories...here is the list...Clay, Fiber & Textile, Gemstones, Glass, Lampwork & Dichroic Glass, Metal, Mixed Media, Organic Materials, Seed Beeds, Swarovski Crystal, Ethnic Beads & Trade Beads. The pieces will be on display at the Bead Museum from September 28th thru December 31st! Who needs tats when you can adorn your body with this kind of eye candy!
